Netflix has recently announced an exciting lineup of Chinese-language series set to premiere in 2025. The lineup includes a diverse range of genres, from supernatural thrillers to romantic comedies, and features some of the biggest stars in the industry.

One highly anticipated series is “The Resurrected” (set to release in Q3), which will mark the Netflix series debut of international film stars Shu Qi and Lee Sinje. The dark thriller follows two desperate mothers who resurrect a deceased scam ring leader in order to avenge their kidnapped daughters.

Another standout project is “Had I Not Seen the Sun” (set to release in Q4), starring Tseng Jing-hua and Moon Lee. This two-part supernatural mystery, from the creators of “Someday or One Day,” follows a documentarian whose prison interview with a serial killer leads to strange dreams and ghostly encounters with a high school student’s spirit.

Currently available for streaming is the period drama “Perfect Match,” which features Lu Yu-xiao and Wang Xing-yue. Set in the Northern Song Dynasty, the series follows Madam Li’s family as they establish a tea house while navigating the complexities of arranging suitable marriages for her daughters.

In time for Valentine’s Day 2025, Netflix will premiere the romantic comedy “I Am Married…But!” starring Alice Ko and Jasper Liu. The series delves into the intricacies of modern marriage through the story of I-ling, a woman considering divorce while living with her in-laws, who unexpectedly finds a connection through a dating app.

Also on the lineup is “Forget You Not” (set to release in Q2), created by award-winning multi-hyphenate Rene Liu. The series stars Hsieh Ying-xuan, with a special appearance by Wallace Huo, and follows the journey of an aspiring stand-up comedian balancing her career aspirations with divorce and caregiving for her aging father.
