The Frisco, Texas community was rocked by a disturbing incident involving Austin Metcalf and his family. Trolls reported a fake shooting at Austin Metcalf’s home, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. This cruel prank occurred shortly after Austin Metcalf’s father made a surprise appearance at a press conference held by the family of Karmelo Anthony, the teenager accused of fatally stabbing Austin at a track meet.

Described as “swatting,” the fake shooting report was a malicious attempt to draw police to the Metcalf residence. This incident is just the latest in a series of racially-charged conflicts that have arisen in the wake of Austin Metcalf’s tragic death on April 2nd.

The altercation between Austin Metcalf and Karmelo Anthony, students from rival schools, turned deadly when Anthony allegedly pulled out a knife during a dispute over seating at the track meet. Austin Metcalf, a white football star, was fatally stabbed by Anthony, who is black, leaving him to die in his twin brother’s arms. Witnesses reported that the altercation escalated quickly, leading to the fatal stabbing.

Karmelo Anthony now faces a first-degree murder charge, although he has been released under house arrest after his family posted a $250,000 bond. The Anthony family has maintained that Karmelo acted in self-defense during the altercation. This claim has sparked further tension and division within the community.

During a press conference, Karmelo Anthony’s mother, Kala Hayes, expressed her family’s distress over the situation, stating that they feel under attack. The emotional event was further intensified when Jeff Metcalf, Austin’s father, unexpectedly appeared at the press conference. Although Jeff did not speak, his presence caused a disturbance, leading to his removal by Dallas police.
