An Oregon man named Seth Michael Winkelhake, 40, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping a teenage girl he met online. The victim, who was 13 years old at the time, was coerced into sending explicit photos to Winkelhake, which he then used to blackmail her into a four-year relationship involving disturbing acts, as reported by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim revealed that she initially met Winkelhake, who went by the name Jeff online, in 2018. The conversations took a dark turn when she sent graphic images, leading to manipulation from Winkelhake to keep in contact with him.
Winkelhake convinced the victim to meet in person when she turned 16, wearing a ski mask or cloth to conceal his identity during their meetings in Oak Grove. Despite the victim’s attempts to resist, Winkelhake allegedly carried out disturbing acts at local parks between 2021 and 2024.
Authorities suspect that there may be additional victims, as Winkelhake, who volunteered with education organizations in the Portland area, used various online platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and AntiLand to target young girls. He often used aliases such as Jeff, Don Jon, and Marc, and owned a 2018 Nissan Frontier and a 2002 Volkswagen Golf.
