Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh is facing criticism after his team’s recent 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 16. This defeat marks the Ravens’ eighth loss of the season, putting their playoff hopes in jeopardy.

With the Ravens teetering on the edge of playoff elimination, sports analyst Skip Bayless didn’t hold back when discussing whether Baltimore should consider parting ways with Harbaugh. "It is, I’ve thought that for several weeks," Bayless expressed on the "Arena: Gridiron" show. "And I like John Harbaugh. But this is Year 18. They (Ravens) got to and won the one Super Bowl against his brother (Jim Harbaugh), that was in 2012. So it’s a long time ago."

Bayless highlighted Harbaugh’s postseason record since the 2012 Super Bowl victory, stating that the Ravens’ playoff appearances have felt stagnant. "Since then, John Harbaugh is 4-7 in the postseason. They’ve made the playoffs seven times in the last 13 years. They do feel stale to me. Like, they need a new voice in the locker room."

The sports commentator further suggested that the Ravens could benefit from a fresh start, indicating that Harbaugh may need to explore coaching opportunities elsewhere.

As of now, Harbaugh boasts a regular-season record of 179-112 (13-11 in playoffs) during his tenure as the Ravens coach. In addition to the Super Bowl triumph in 2012, he has guided Baltimore to six AFC North titles, including two in the past two seasons.

Looking ahead, John Harbaugh’s Ravens (7-8) are set to face off against the Green Bay Packers (9-5-1) in Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season. The upcoming game, scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, holds significant playoff implications for both teams.

The Ravens must secure victories in their remaining games and rely on favorable outcomes from other matchups to keep their postseason hopes alive. Meanwhile, the Packers are also vying for a playoff spot, setting the stage for an intense showdown between the two squads.

In conclusion, the pressure is mounting on John Harbaugh as the Ravens navigate the final stretch of the season. Whether a coaching change is on the horizon remains to be seen, but the outcome of the upcoming clash against the Packers could play a pivotal role in shaping the Ravens’ postseason fate.
