Sophia Hutchins Reportedly Speeding Before Fatal ATV Crash Near Caitlyn Jenner’s Malibu Home
Tragedy struck when Sophia Hutchins, friend and manager of Caitlyn Jenner, was involved in a fatal ATV crash near Jenner’s Malibu residence. Reports suggest that Hutchins, aged 29, was speeding while driving the ATV, leading to the devastating collision on July 2.
The incident occurred as Hutchins was riding the ATV close to Jenner’s home and collided with a Mazda 6, causing both the ATV and Hutchins to plummet 350 feet down a ravine. Sadly, Hutchins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Malibu division stated that Hutchins was driving a 2013 Polaris utility vehicle and rear-ended the Mazda, potentially due to speeding. The impact caused her to veer off the road and into the ravine.
According to Saucedo, investigators are considering the possibility that Hutchins was trying to maneuver around the Mazda before the crash. Caitlyn Jenner visited the accident site during the investigation, and authorities are awaiting a toxicology report to determine if impairment played a role in the incident.
Hutchins, who resided at Jenner’s Malibu home and worked as her business manager, had a close professional relationship with the former Olympian. Despite rumors of a romantic involvement, both parties maintained that they were partners in a working and personal capacity.
In a 2019 interview, Jenner emphasized their strong bond, stating that they were there for each other in all aspects of their lives. Hutchins, a Pepperdine University graduate, played a pivotal role in Jenner’s career, securing various opportunities such as appearances on reality shows and corporate engagements.
Jenner later clarified in a 2023 interview that she was single and not seeking a relationship, focusing on her individual pursuits. The tragic accident has left many mourning the loss of Sophia Hutchins, a talented and dedicated professional who made a significant impact on Caitlyn Jenner’s life and career.
