A spooky Halloween experience awaits at the “Thomas Street Cemetery” in Christchurch this year. The Linwood property will be transformed into a haunted house of horrors, featuring skeletons, witches, creepy dolls, killer clowns, jump-scare animatronics, and neon ghostly apparitions.

Owners Sam and Jordan Dickinson have put in a lot of effort to create a chilling atmosphere for visitors. They enjoy the Halloween season more than Christmas and love scaring kids while rewarding them with treats.

This year, the Dickinsons have invested $5000 in new scary animatronics, adding to the excitement of the event. The community has shown great support for the free Halloween attraction, which has been growing in popularity every year.

Jordan was inspired to create the haunted house during the Covid lockdown after watching Halloween haunt videos from America. The couple considered charging for the event but decided to keep it free for the community.

The Thomas Street Cemetery will be open for viewing between 4pm and 9pm on Thursday, offering a spine-chilling experience for all visitors. The Dickinsons are already planning for an even bigger display next year, promising more scares and thrills for Halloween enthusiasts.
