The North Carolina Education Lottery 250 at Rockingham Speedway is set to be a thrilling event in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. With the excitement building up after the SciAps 300, fans are eagerly anticipating the race on Saturday, April 19, which will be broadcast live on CW at 4 p.m. ET.
The stage is set for 38 Xfinity Series drivers to battle it out on the 1.017-mile-long D-shaped oval track in Rockingham, North Carolina. Each driver will be vying for the chance to claim victory and secure their spot in Victory Lane.
In the qualifying race, Connor Zilisch of JR Motorsports secured the pole position for the North Carolina Education Lottery 250 with an impressive lap time of 22.630 and a speed of 149.536 mph. However, despite his pole position, Zilisch will have to start from the rear of the field due to a flat tire. This opens up the opportunity for Parker Retzlaff of Alpha Prime Racing to start alongside him on the front row.
The rest of the top five starting positions are filled by Nick Sanchez, Kasey Kahne, and William Sawalich, setting the stage for an action-packed race. Other notable drivers in the top 10 include Brandon Jones, Jesse Love, defending series champion Justin Allgaier, Christian Eckes, and Austin Hill.
Unfortunately, Katherine Legge and Dawson Cram were unable to qualify for the race, missing out on the opportunity to compete at Rockingham Speedway.
