Recent reports suggest that Maxwell denied witnessing any questionable actions by Trump to the Justice Department. Colbert sarcastically quipped, “Well, if Ghislaine didn’t see anything concerning, then Trump must be innocent.”
He went on to paint a scathing picture of what Maxwell’s endorsement of Trump would imply to the public. “Despite her history of sex trafficking underage girls, Ghislaine claims she saw no red flags with Trump and Epstein,” Colbert mockingly stated.
