Stephen Miller Condemns Ruling on Alien Deportation
In a recent outburst, Senior White House Advisor Stephen Miller directed his ire towards a Biden-appointed judge, who chose to ground a flight carrying several criminal aliens destined for South Sudan. This controversial ruling has ignited a heated debate over judicial authority and immigration policy.
Last week, US District Judge Brian Murphy determined that the Trump Administration breached a court order by deporting dangerous aliens to South Sudan, a decision he argued violated their right to “meaningful” due process, particularly since they were being sent to “third-party” countries.
Critics, including attorneys representing the aliens, argued that sending individuals from Laos, Vietnam, and Cuba to South Sudan poses significant risks to their safety.
In his ruling, Judge Murphy specified that the US must keep custody of the dangerous individuals during the legal process. He stated, “During that 15-day period, the individual must remain within the custody or control of DHS, and must be afforded access to counsel that is commensurate with the access they would be afforded if they were seeking to move to reopen from within the United States’ borders.” Read the full order here.
Former President Trump expressed his frustration, asserting that due to the judge’s order, eight of the world’s most violent criminals are currently being detained in Djibouti, a small nation adjacent to Ethiopia.
Miller did not hold back in his critique of Judge Murphy, highlighting the lack of facilities in Djibouti to accommodate the aliens. He claimed that the judge’s order endangers the lives of ICE agents. “A local judge in Boston ordered the flight grounded and has now trapped ICE officers in Djibouti with these savage monsters! They have to guard and protect them 24-7 in a location with no appropriate facilities! No detention space! No detention beds! Nothing! Putting their lives on the line!” Miller exclaimed during a Newsmax appearance this weekend.
He further argued, “You have a handful of judges elected by nobody sitting in local cities and communities claiming that they can rule over the foreign policy and national security in defense of the entire United States, micromanaging the activities of our defense department, federal immigration officers, and cabinet secretaries. Judges who will claim the powers of a king all for the purpose of the mass importation of illegal aliens. The mass importation of illegal aliens into this country, mass third-world migration. That is what the entire Democratic party now serves and exists for. Not the American people.”
