Steven Van Zandt is lauding Jeremy Allen White‘s portrayal of Bruce Springsteen in the new film, describing it as one of the most deeply moving experiences he has ever encountered in cinema.
We caught up with the E-Street Band guitarist in New York City on Tuesday, where our photographer inquired about Jeremy’s standout performance in the movie “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.”
Steven described Jeremy as “remarkable” in his role as Bruce, emphasizing that viewers do not need prior knowledge of Bruce or his history to enjoy the exceptional acting presented in the film, which he believes could be the standout film of the year.
The film will be released in theaters next week, and Steven is optimistic about potential Oscar nominations for Jeremy and his castmates, sharing a thoughtful recommendation for moviegoers. He also highlighted his foundation, TeachRock.org.
‘Springsteen’ delves into the creation of Bruce’s 1982 album “Nebraska” and culminates with the acclaim of his “Born In The USA” anthem, with Steven expressing his admiration for Disney’s decision to produce a film depicting this critical era in Bruce’s career.
