Fashion designer Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra was tragically found dead on a boat at the Montauk Yacht Club in August, and more than three months later, authorities are still unable to determine her cause of death. Suffolk County police initially suspected an overdose as the cause, citing the presence of a white powdery substance near her body and no signs of violence. However, details of her autopsy and toxicology reports have been withheld from her family and the public, causing frustration and speculation about the circumstances surrounding her death.

Family attorney Arthur L. Aidala has expressed concerns about the lack of information and pushed back against claims that Nolan-O’Slatarra was involved in drug use. He emphasized that the family is relying on law enforcement to thoroughly investigate the case and provide answers. Despite limited information released by the police, key questions remain unanswered, leaving a cloud of mystery over the events leading to her death.

Nolan-O’Slatarra was reportedly meeting with Chris Durnan, a local figure and co-owner of her swimwear fashion company East x East, on the night she died. Durnan, who owns the boat where her body was found, had texted her about discussing financial matters related to the business. Following her death, Durnan was found behaving erratically at the yacht club, running around naked and causing a disturbance.

Durnan, who operates an insurance company in Rockville Centre, has not responded to requests for comment on the incident. The circumstances surrounding Nolan-O’Slatarra’s death and her interactions with Durnan that night raise further questions about what transpired on the boat. The county’s refusal to release important documents related to the case has only added to the mystery and speculation surrounding her untimely death.

Despite ongoing efforts to uncover the truth, the case of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra remains unresolved, leaving her family and the public in limbo. The appeal to access crucial information about her death reflects a quest for transparency and closure in a tragedy that has left many searching for answers.
