A horrifying incident took place on a Queens train when a stranger targeted a 25-year-old woman and her 11-month-old daughter by spraying an unknown substance in their faces. The young mother was on a southbound M train heading towards the Court Square-23rd Street station when a man approached her and requested to use her cell phone. However, when she declined, the man resorted to violence by spraying what was believed to be pepper spray in her face and on her arm.
Unfortunately, some of the liquid also ended up on the infant’s face and arm, causing distress to both mother and daughter. They were immediately taken to Mount Sinai Queens for medical attention and were reported to be in stable condition following the attack. The assailant, described as having a slim build and dressed in a black sweatshirt, fled the scene and remained at large despite efforts to apprehend him.
This shocking incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that lurk in public spaces and the importance of staying vigilant and cautious at all times. The safety and well-being of individuals, especially vulnerable ones like children, should always be a top priority. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the attack, and hopefully, the perpetrator will be brought to justice soon.
