After spending the majority of last year filming the final season of Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things,” creators Matt and Ross Duffer are feeling a mix of emotions now that production has wrapped. The brothers reflected on their last day on set in December, expressing sadness at saying goodbye to the characters, crew, and actors that have been a significant part of their lives.

Despite their bittersweet feelings, Matt and Ross are honored to receive the Variety Showrunner Award at the SCAD TVfest. This recognition is particularly special to them as they don’t often receive such accolades. The duo is grateful for the opportunity to reflect on their journey with “Stranger Things” as they accept the award.

As they transition into post-production, the Duffer brothers are busy working on editing the visual effects sequences for the final season. This process will take up a significant portion of their time in the coming months as they strive to ensure that everything is ready for the show’s release.

While the exact release date for the fifth season of “Stranger Things” has yet to be confirmed, the Duffer brothers are committed to getting it out this year. They are working diligently to meet this deadline and provide fans with the closure they have been eagerly awaiting.

Reflecting on their past experiences with tight production schedules, the Duffers are determined to stay on track with Season 5. They are focused on delivering a satisfying conclusion to the series and are excited to see how audiences will respond to the final chapter.

Looking ahead, the Duffer brothers are unsure of what the future holds after “Stranger Things.” Having dedicated nine years of their lives to telling this story, they acknowledge the anxiety that comes with wrapping up such a significant project. However, for now, they are fully immersed in the editing process and are taking things one step at a time.

As they prepare to accept their award in Georgia, the Duffers are grateful for the support they have received from the local crew and community. Georgia has played a crucial role in bringing the world of Hawkins, Indiana, to life on screen, and the brothers are thankful for the opportunities it has provided them.

In conclusion, the Duffer brothers are navigating a mix of emotions as they wrap up production on “Stranger Things.” With the final season on the horizon, they are dedicated to delivering a satisfying conclusion to the beloved series and are excited to see how fans will react to the culmination of their hard work and dedication.
