In the beauty and fragrance world, trends come and go with the seasons. Last year, black cherry was all the rage, with nails and lips adorned in the deep, rich color, and pulse points infused with its luscious aroma. However, this year, a new fruit has taken the spotlight—the strawberry.

It seems that strawberries are not only dominating the culinary scene but also making a splash in the world of beauty and perfume. Luxury LA grocer Erewhon is offering single strawberries from the Tochigi Prefecture of Japan for a whopping $19 each, while Oishii’s Omakase Berries are a more affordable option at $20 for a box of 11. Additionally, Flamingo Estate has reintroduced its popular collaboration with Harry’s Berries, offering dried strawberries dusted with guajillo and lime.

The strawberry trend extends beyond the realm of gastronomy, with the fruit becoming one of the most sought-after scents in the world of perfumery. According to Mathilde Riba, an analyst at trend-tracking engine Spate, interest in strawberry perfumes has surged by 19.9% compared to last year.

Various beauty brands have embraced the strawberry craze, offering a range of products that capture the essence of this beloved fruit. Iota, a J-Beauty brand, has created a body wash inspired by Oishii’s Omakase Berries, while Nest New York has crafted a perfume oil that incorporates the entire strawberry plant, including the flower, wood, and fruit.

For those seeking a more nuanced take on strawberries, Malin + Goetz’s Strawberry eau de Parfum features mara strawberry as a top note, complemented by jasmine flower, bergamot, and orris root. Juliette Has a Gun’s Miami Shake adds a touch of vanilla to enhance the sweetness of the strawberry scent, while Burberry’s Her Elixir combines ripe strawberries with blackberry and vanilla for a sophisticated twist on a classic fragrance.

The world is facing a global pandemic that has brought about unprecedented challenges and uncertainties. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted economies, healthcare systems, and daily life for billions of people around the world. As countries struggle to contain the spread of the virus and find solutions to mitigate its impact, one thing is clear – the world will never be the same again.

The pandemic has exposed the vulnerabilities of our interconnected world. It has shown how easily a virus can spread from one corner of the globe to another, highlighting the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in tackling global challenges. In the face of this crisis, countries have come together to share information, resources, and expertise in an effort to contain the spread of the virus and find a vaccine.

The pandemic has also highlighted the importance of strong healthcare systems. Countries with robust healthcare systems have been better equipped to respond to the crisis, while those with weaker systems have struggled to cope with the influx of patients and the demand for medical supplies. As we emerge from the pandemic, there will be a renewed focus on strengthening healthcare systems and investing in public health infrastructure to better prepare for future crises.

The economic impact of the pandemic has been devastating, with millions of people losing their jobs, businesses closing their doors, and economies contracting at an alarming rate. Governments around the world have rolled out unprecedented stimulus packages to support businesses and individuals, but the road to recovery will be long and challenging. As we rebuild our economies, there will be a greater emphasis on building resilience and ensuring that we are better prepared for future shocks.

The pandemic has also brought about a shift in how we work, learn, and socialize. Remote work has become the new norm for many people, as companies adapt to a digital-first approach. Schools and universities have moved online, transforming the way we educate our children. And social distancing measures have forced us to find new ways to stay connected with our loved ones. As we navigate this new normal, there will be a greater emphasis on digitalization, innovation, and adaptability.

In the midst of the crisis, there have been glimmers of hope and solidarity. Communities have come together to support one another, frontline workers have shown tremendous courage and dedication, and scientists have worked tirelessly to find a vaccine. As we look to the future, we must build on these moments of solidarity and cooperation to create a more resilient and sustainable world.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a wake-up call for the world. It has shown us the importance of preparedness, resilience, and solidarity in the face of global challenges. As we emerge from this crisis, we have an opportunity to build back better and create a world that is more just, sustainable, and resilient for future generations. It will not be easy, but together, we can overcome this crisis and build a better future for all.
