The iconic “Breaking Bad” house has been making headlines recently after a drastic price drop from $4 million to $400,000. This price reduction has sparked a bidding war for the property, with streamer Adin Ross getting involved in the mix.
According to sources, Adin’s team reached out last week to make an offer for the house, and they are one of about 20 legitimate offers that the owners have received. The potential price tag has now gone back up to well over a million bucks following the price drop.
Despite Adin claiming on his stream over the weekend that he had won the bid for the house and planned to remake it exactly like Walter White’s home in “Breaking Bad,” the deal is far from being finalized. The owners are expected to make a decision within the next 24 hours, and the property is set to close by the end of the month.
This development is a welcome one for Joanne Padilla, the current owner of the 4-bed, 1-bath property, who has been trying to sell it for over a year. Last August, Joanne had expressed her hopes of turning the house into a museum to fetch a good price, but zoning laws in the residential neighborhood reportedly do not allow for such a business.
However, Adin seems undeterred by these challenges and is determined to create a 1-to-1 replica of Walter White’s home. While the exteriors of the house were featured in the show, the interiors were shot on a sound stage, so Adin will have to completely redesign the inside to match the iconic TV home.
The listing for the “Breaking Bad” house is being handled by Alicia Feil of Keller Williams Realty. As the bidding war continues and the fate of the property hangs in the balance, all eyes are on whether Adin Ross will emerge as the new owner of this famous TV landmark.
