Survivor fans, get ready for an epic season like never before! Jeff Probst, the mastermind behind the show, has gone all out for Survivor 50. From an all-star cast to celebrity collaborations, this season promises to be one for the books.

The theme for this season, “In the Hands of the Fans,” will feature twists involving Billie Eilish and Jimmy Fallon, with appearances from Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson and Zac Brown. But fear not, traditional Survivor fans, Probst assures us that the core of the game remains intact.

In an exclusive interview with Variety, Probst shared his excitement for the new season. He explained that by involving celebrities, they aimed to add another layer of unpredictability to the game. The cast for this season is the largest ever, and the celebrities are sure to bring some exciting twists to the competition.

Probst revealed that the collaborations with celebrities were not planned in advance. It was through his personal relationships and friendships that these opportunities came about. Each collaboration was the idea of the celebrity themselves, showing their genuine love for the show.

One of the most anticipated crossovers of the season is with MrBeast. Probst appeared on Season 2 of “Beast Games,” and Donaldson will make an appearance on Survivor 50. The logistics for this collaboration were challenging, as both shows had set schedules, but the teams worked together to make it happen.

The collaboration between Survivor and “Beast Games” was a meeting of two very different styles of reality competition shows. Probst described the chaotic and in-the-moment approach of “Beast Games” compared to the long-term storytelling of Survivor. The experience allowed Probst to see a different side of production and learn from Donaldson’s hosting style.

Donaldson, on the other hand, found the experience with Survivor to be eye-opening. He realized the importance of consistency and familiarity for fans, something that Survivor has mastered over its 25-year run. The collaboration between the two shows brought out the best of both worlds.

As Survivor 50 approaches its premiere on CBS on Feb. 25, fans can expect the unexpected. With celebrities, twists, and game-changing moments, this season promises to be a celebration of everything that makes Survivor great. So mark your calendars and get ready for a wild ride in the hands of the fans!
