Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav may have had a tough time with the bat during the T20I series against England, but his exceptional captaincy skills led India to a resounding 4-1 series victory. After the series concluded, Yadav showcased his playful side in the dressing room during the best fielder ceremony.

Fielding coach T Dilip tasked Yadav with presenting the medal to the deserving player without revealing their name. Yadav initially headed towards Varun Chakravarthy, who had shown remarkable improvement as a fielder in the series. However, in a hilarious twist, Yadav swiftly changed direction and awarded the medal to Dhruv Jurel, much to the amusement of the entire dressing room.

The playful prank left Jurel beaming with joy as he received the medal from the Indian skipper. The camaraderie and light-hearted moment added a touch of fun to the post-series celebrations.

Before presenting the medal, fielding coach T Dilip commended the Indian team for their outstanding fielding efforts throughout the series. He praised the team’s aggressive approach and highlighted the importance of attitude in fielding, emphasizing the team’s intent, awareness, and readiness on the field.

Jurel, who took three catches in the two T20Is he played against England, also showcased his skills as a substitute wicketkeeper in the fifth T20I, grabbing three catches behind the stumps at the Wankhede Stadium.

The light-hearted moment in the dressing room reflected the team’s camaraderie and spirit, showcasing the bond shared by the players off the field. The series victory was not only a testament to India’s cricketing prowess but also to the team’s unity and sportsmanship.
