Sylvester Stallone Nearing Deal for Two More Seasons of “Tulsa King”
Sylvester Stallone is on the verge of signing a deal to return for at least two more seasons of the hit Paramount+ drama series “Tulsa King,” as confirmed by sources at Variety. Stallone, who also serves as an executive producer on the show, plays the lead role in the mob drama, with the new deal securing a two-season pickup for Seasons 3 and 4. It is important to note that the show has not been officially renewed at this time.
Representatives for Paramount have chosen not to comment on the matter.
According to the official description, “Tulsa King” follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (played by Stallone) as he is released from prison after 25 years and sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma by his boss. Feeling betrayed by his mob family, Dwight recruits a group of unlikely individuals to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that feels alien to him.
In addition to Stallone, the show features a talented cast including Jay Will, Max Casella, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Garrett Hedlund, Vincent Piazza, Dana Delany, and Annabella Sciorra. Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo joined the series in its second season.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, the mastermind behind “Yellowstone,” “Tulsa King” is Stallone’s first regular television role. The show debuted strongly in 2022 and received even more acclaim with its second season premiere in September. Currently, the second season holds a perfect 100% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Sheridan serves as an executive producer on the series alongside Terence Winter, Stallone, and a team of other industry veterans. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, “Tulsa King” has been a standout hit for Paramount+.
The news of Stallone’s new deal was initially reported by Deadline.
