Man Gunned Down in Targeted Shooting at MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino

On Wednesday afternoon, a man was tragically gunned down at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino just outside Washington, DC. The incident, described by authorities as a “targeted shooting,” took place at the food court of the $1.4 billion Maryland casino located on the banks of the Potomac River.

According to Prince George’s County police, the victim, a male believed to be in his 20s, was chased down by the gunman before being shot. The shooter appeared to have specific knowledge of the victim’s whereabouts, indicating a premeditated attack.

Following the incident, local schools were briefly placed on lockdown as authorities searched for the suspect. Initially, there were concerns that the shooter may have fled on foot, but it was later determined that the suspect had escaped in a vehicle. Once the area was deemed safe, the lockdown was lifted, and normal activities resumed.

Despite the shooting, the casino continued to operate as usual, with heightened security measures in place to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
