Introducing Lindsay Barrett
Lindsay infuses her resources with a deep passion for literacy and education.
With extensive experience as a pre-K and elementary teacher and literacy specialist, Lindsay now serves as a curriculum writer for educational publishers and a contributing editor at We Are Teachers. Her dedication to helping students enhance their reading, writing, and language skills drives the creation of her classroom resources.
Outside of writing, Lindsay is often surrounded by books and enjoys a cup of coffee. She loves gardening and exploring the forests near her residence in Maine. Her preschool-aged daughter once dubbed her “the knower of our house,” a title Lindsay cherishes due to her enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge.

What principles guide you when developing resources?
Having taught numerous children throughout my career, the voices of my own five children resonate most with me, often with humorous commentary. My resources honor students’ time and energy by being clear, engaging, and focused on building knowledge and vocabulary.
What assurances do teachers have when using your resources?
As a busy person myself, I understand the need for efficiency. I ensure all details are meticulously checked so that educators can simply print and use my resources without hassle.
