Laila Edwards, a standout player from the University of Wisconsin, has been selected to represent Team USA in the 2026 Winter Olympics. Recently, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to help her family travel to Italy to watch her compete in the prestigious event. The campaign received a massive boost from NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, who generously donated $10,000 to support Laila’s family.

In a statement to TMZ Sports, Laila expressed her gratitude towards the Kelce brothers for their generous donation. “They didn’t have to do that,” she said. “Travis did a kind donation that’s gonna help my family get over there.” Thanks to their contribution, Laila’s family will now be able to attend the Olympics in larger numbers, cheering her on as she competes on the world stage.

As the first black woman to play for the U.S. women’s senior national team, Laila is breaking barriers and making history in the world of hockey. She personally reached out to Travis to thank him for his support and described him as a “super nice” guy. She also expressed her hope that both Travis and Jason will be able to attend the Olympics and watch her compete in person.

With the Kelce brothers’ support, Laila feels confident and motivated to give her best performance at the Winter Olympics. She is looking forward to showcasing her skills on the ice and making her family and supporters proud. As she prepares for the upcoming competition, Laila is grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement she has received from fans and well-wishers.
