Sloane Stephens is not just a tennis star, she’s also a budding beauty entrepreneur with the launch of her body-care brand, Doc & Glo. Named after her maternal grandparents who taught her the importance of self-care, Stephens created this line of products to help people feel clean and refreshed on the go.

The idea for Doc & Glo came to Stephens during the pandemic when athletes were no longer able to freshen up in locker rooms. She wanted to create products that could be taken anywhere and still provide that clean and refreshed feeling. The lineup includes the 3161 Fragrance-Free Deodorant and the 24/7 Hustle Deodorizing Body Mist, both housed in reusable packaging in the iconic chartreuse shade of a tennis ball.

Before her appearance at the 2024 US Open, Stephens shared some of her beauty practices and self-care tips. She emphasized the importance of sunscreen, applying it multiple times throughout the day to protect her skin from harmful UV rays. She rotates between different sunscreens depending on the situation, including Supergoop’s Matte Sunscreen, Barbara Sturm’s Sun Drops, and Neutrogena Sport Face Oil-Free Sunscreen.

Stephens also revealed that she hates feeling sweaty, showering multiple times a day to stay fresh. She avoids keeping protective hairstyles in for too long to prevent her scalp and hair from feeling damp. Instead, she opts for braids and uses lightweight hair products like Ceremonia Guava Leave-In Conditioner.

As a form of self-care, Stephens loves masking and uses a variety of sheet masks every night. She prefers budget-friendly options from Tony Moly and enjoys the Tony Moly Brightening eye mask. In the evenings, she indulges in the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask to hydrate and plump her face and always applies Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask before bed to prevent dry lips.

To help her muscles recover after training sessions or intense matches, Stephens incorporates contrast therapy into her routine. She gets regular massages and tries other methods to aid in muscle recovery and relaxation. Overall, Stephens’ dedication to self-care both on and off the court is evident in her beauty practices and wellness routine. Red and infrared light therapy are essential tools for helping me recharge and rejuvenate. As I continue to prioritize my health and wellness, these tools have become essential in helping me to recharge and stay energized. They play a crucial role in my self-care routine, and I look forward to incorporating them into my daily life for years to come.
