The chase involved Ruby Martinez driving a white Chevy Malibu, during which she slowed down to allow one illegal immigrant to escape from the vehicle. Despite her evasive maneuvers, the DPS ultimately executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to bring the chase to a halt, leading to her arrest for human smuggling and evading law enforcement.
Subsequently, one undocumented individual was handed over to the Border Patrol, illustrating the ongoing complexities of immigration enforcement.
