Mantis Ventures Raises $100 Million for Third Fund

Mantis Ventures, the venture capital firm co-founded by Alex Pall and Drew Taggart of the electronic DJ group The Chainsmokers, has successfully raised $100 million in commitments for its third fund. This latest fund is 25% larger than the firm’s previous $80 million fund, showcasing Mantis’ ability to attract new capital in a challenging fundraising environment for many venture firms.

Unlike many celebrity venture capitalists who focus on consumer companies, Pall and Taggart have chosen to invest in B2B startups. Their portfolio includes investments in companies like cybersecurity firm Chainguard and AI financial analyst startup Rogo, demonstrating their interest in sectors where they see significant growth potential.

Despite their focus on B2B startups, Pall and Taggart have leveraged their celebrity status to benefit their portfolio companies. The Chainsmokers have performed private shows for numerous Fortune 500 companies, allowing Mantis to tap into a valuable network for customer introductions and business development opportunities.
