5&2 Studios, the production company behind the global hit series “The Chosen,” is gearing up for the release of Season 5 with a unique theatrical launch before its streaming debut. Titled “The Chosen: Last Supper,” Season 5 will hit theaters in the weeks leading up to Easter in 2025, with a release date set for March 27 in the U.S. and Canada.

The eight episodes of “The Chosen: Last Supper” will be divided into three parts during a four-week run in the U.S. and Canada. Part 1, consisting of episodes 1-2, will kick off the release on March 27, followed by Part 2 (episodes 3, 4, 5) and Part 3 (episodes 6, 7, 8). The season will then be released in more than 40 additional territories, including Brazil, Mexico, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Poland, Philippines, and India, starting April 10.

Creator and executive producer Dallas Jenkins expressed his excitement for Season 5, stating, “I’m possibly more excited to bring Season 5 to the world than any other season we’ve done.” The upcoming season promises to delve deeper into the story of Jesus and his disciples, with a focus on the events leading up to the Last Supper.

In addition to Season 5, Jenkins has announced plans to expand “The Chosen” universe with new projects, including the animated series “The Chosen Adventures” and the adventure series “The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls.” Following the conclusion of “The Chosen,” Jenkins intends to work on a three-season series about the life of Moses.

Looking ahead, Season 6 of “The Chosen” will explore the Crucifixion story, while Season 7 will center on Jesus’ Resurrection. Both seasons will consist of eight episodes each and will include a global theatrical release of extended Crucifixion and Resurrection episodes.
