Daniel Ings, known for his roles in “The Gentlemen” and “I Hate Suzie,” has officially joined the cast of the upcoming revenge thriller series “Kill Jackie” (working title). This new series stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and is a collaboration between Fremantle, Steel Springs Pictures, and Prime Video.
Based on Nick Harkaway’s novel “The Price You Pay,” “Kill Jackie” is set to be an eight-part series that follows the story of Jackie Price, a former international cocaine dealer. Jackie’s life takes a dangerous turn when she discovers that The Seven Demons, a group of deadly hitmen, have been hired to kill her. Ings will portray Sam, Jackie’s reserved lawyer and longtime love interest.
Joining the cast alongside Zeta-Jones and Ings are a talented ensemble of actors, including Sidse Babett Knudsen, Óscar Jaenada, Hattie Hook, Darci Shaw, Raff Law, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt, and many others.
“Kill Jackie” is currently in production and is set to stream on Prime Video in various countries including the U.K., Ireland, Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, and Canada. Fremantle will handle international sales, with Steel Springs Pictures leading sales in the U.S.
The TV adaptation of “Kill Jackie” was created and co-written by Conor Keane, with Damon Thomas serving as the lead director and Tom Butterworth as the writer and showrunner. Executive producers include Peter Lawson, Jose Augustin Valdes, Dante Di Loreto, Butterworth, Thomas, and Jeffrey Levine. José Luis Escolar’s Deabru Kalea Filmeak is overseeing production in Bizkaia.
