The Hive Greece, established in partnership with Animasyros Productions based in Athens, aims to bring together talent from the Southern Mediterranean region and foster cross-European animation collaborations.
This collaboration marks a strategic effort to enhance the international presence of the Greek animation industry. Animasyros Productions, well-known for organizing Greece’s largest animation film festival, Animasyros International Animation Festival, shares The Hive’s vision of promoting creative synergy and innovation in storytelling.

Amit Russell Gicelter, the Founder and CEO of The Hive Studio, expressed his excitement about the new venture, stating, “I’m thrilled to be partnering with the Greek industry. We have been working together on development, production, and collaboration for the past few months. It feels like a natural and meaningful progression for our company, and I am eager to explore the opportunities that lie ahead.”
In addition to production, The Hive Greece will also offer animation courses to support emerging talent, starting with a specialized Toon Boom masterclass. The branch will take advantage of Greece’s 40% rebate on foreign investment to encourage partnerships with European studios.
Established in 2010, The Hive Studio has become a globally acclaimed creative hub, producing award-winning animation content across various genres and platforms. The expansion into Greece highlights the studio’s dedication to global storytelling and artistic collaboration.
