Oshry decided to step down from the competition after performing “Unstoppable” by Sia, citing the time commitment and being a new mother as the reasons for her departure.
In an interview with Variety, Oshry shared her decision-making process, stating that she wanted to prioritize her role as a mother and felt conflicted between continuing on the show and being with her baby. The producers were supportive of her decision to leave early, although the panelists were not informed beforehand. This departure marked the second time a contestant chose to unmask themselves on the show, with Mickey Rourke doing the same in Season 4.
The episode also featured performances from other contestants including Galaxy Girl, Stingray, Cat Witch, and 14 Karat Carrot, who advanced to the next round. Still waiting for their turn were High Voltage, Calla Lily, Owl, and Eggplant. Oshry joined the list of celebrities unmasked in Season 14, including Taraji P. Henson, Tone Loc, Tiffany Haddish, Todd and Julie Chrisley, and David “Big Papi” Ortiz.
Hosted by Nick Cannon, Season 14 of “The Masked Singer” also features panelists Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Rita Ora, and new addition “America’s Insider” Kylie Cantrall, who shares behind-the-scenes hints and clues for viewers.
