Motorola has made a comeback in the smartwatch market with the launch of the Moto Watch Fit. Priced at just €79, this budget-friendly smartwatch may not be a game-changer like the Razr, but it does offer some attractive features.

The design of the Moto Watch Fit bears a striking resemblance to the Apple Watch, with a square shape and a plastic back that feels a bit flimsy. Many users may prefer a more robust design, similar to the circular design of the Pixel Watch 3.

Despite its budget price, the Moto Watch Fit does have some positive aspects. It features a 1.3-inch OLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3, making it durable and resistant to water and dust with IP68 and 5ATM ratings. The watch comes equipped with various sensors for tracking heart rate, steps, and calories during workouts, and even includes GPS for route tracking.

One standout feature of the Moto Watch Fit is its impressive battery life, with Motorola claiming it can last up to 16 days on a single charge. This extended battery life is achieved by using Motorola’s own stripped-back software instead of Google’s Wear OS platform. While the software is intuitive and easy to navigate, some users may miss the ability to download third-party apps.

The Moto Watch Fit also comes with a comfortable fabric strap, striking a good balance between comfort and security. With a starting price of €79, the Moto Watch Fit offers good value for money, especially for users looking for a budget-friendly smartwatch with solid features.

Overall, the Moto Watch Fit may not be a groundbreaking device, but it does offer a decent set of features at an affordable price point. Motorola’s return to the smartwatch market is a positive step, and with some improvements in design and software, they could potentially compete with other leading brands in the industry.
