During his trip to Fiji for some leisurely rounds of golf and relaxation under the sun, the 27-year-old All Blacks fullback decided to propose to Webb, leading to a heartwarming announcement on their Instagram profiles.
Their social media post exuded happiness as they captioned it, “The perfect week away.”
Celebratory messages poured in from Jordan’s current and former teammates, such as Richie Mo’unga, Ardie Savea, Jordie Barrett, and Tamaiti Williams, extending their best wishes to the couple.
Jordan and Webb’s relationship has stood the test of time, blossoming from their teenage years into a beautiful partnership.
Amidst his holiday, Jordan took a well-deserved break as the All Blacks enjoyed some downtime following their triumphant 3-0 series win against France on July 19.
With an impressive record of 44 tests and 42 tries for the All Blacks, Jordan’s talent was recognized when he joined the Crusaders in 2018 after shining in the New Zealand under-20s team that clinched the world championship in 2017.
Having left a mark as the fifth-highest try scorer for the Crusaders and ranking 10th in the list of top points scorers, Jordan’s rugby journey began during his stellar performances for Christchurch Boys’ High first XV in 2015, where he emerged as the leading scorer in the UC Championship with 19 tries in 11 games.
A product of the Crusaders Academy, Jordan also showcased his skills with Tasman in the Mitre 10 Cup and the Canterbury under-19s team.
With anticipation building for the upcoming Rugby Championship, Jordan is expected to be a key player in the All Blacks squad as they gear up for the first test against Argentina in Córdoba on August 17, with the team announcement set to be made by coach Scott Robertson next week.
