Los Angeles Riots Enter Fourth Night as Law Enforcement Prepares for Mass Arrests
On Monday night, the fourth installment of the Los Angeles riots unfolded, prompting law enforcement to gear up for significant arrests. Thousands of demonstrators protesting against ICE surrounded a federal facility in downtown Los Angeles, while the California National Guard, now deputized, alongside 700 U.S. Marines, joined local police in a show of force.
By Monday afternoon, hundreds of LA Sheriff’s deputies arrived in armored vehicles, fully outfitted in tactical gear. In response to the escalating situation, a citywide tactical alert was issued, signaling an urgent law enforcement mobilization.

As darkness fell, police swiftly moved to enact mass arrests. The LAPD implemented a controversial crowd control tactic known as kettling, effectively enclosing a large group of protesters and declaring them all under arrest.
“The police just said we’re all under arrest!” exclaimed a reporter who was caught in the kettled group, capturing the surreal atmosphere as tensions heightened.
