Netflixâs espionage dramedy âThe Recruitâ has come to an end after two seasons on the streaming platform, as confirmed by Variety. The news was announced by Colton Dunn, who portrayed former CIA operative Lester Kitchens on the show, in a post on Threads.

âThe Recruitâ aired a total of 14 episodes over two seasons, premiering in December of 2022. The series followed the story of Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo), a CIA lawyer who becomes entangled in international conflicts with dangerous adversaries after an asset attempts to expose her connection to the agency.
The cast of âThe Recruitâ also included Aarti Mann, Fivel Stewart, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Kaylah Zander, Kristian Bruun, Angel Parker, and Jesse Collin. The show was created by Alexi Hawley, who served as showrunner and executive producer. Production was handled by Hypnotic and Lionsgate for Netflix, with executive producers such as Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol, and Julian Holmes. Directors for the second season included Hawley, Holmes, Jessica Yu, Viet Nguyen, and John Hyams.
According to Variety, âThe Recruitâ Season 2 debuted with 5.9 million views in its first four days on Netflix. The show was recognized as one of Varietyâs most anticipated shows of 2025, landing in second place on the English-language TV chart, with âThe Night Agentâ Season 2 taking the top spot with 15.2 million views.
