The popular psychological reality series “The Traitors” and its spin-off “The Celebrity Traitors” are here to stay in the U.K. The BBC has recently announced a new three-year deal with Studio Lambert Scotland, securing the rights to both shows until at least 2030.
“The Celebrity Traitors” premiered in October 2025 and has been a massive hit, attracting an average audience of 14.9 million viewers and peaking at 15.4 million for the finale. It has dominated the entertainment market since 2016 and was the top series across all genres and platforms in 2025.
The fourth season of “The Traitors,” which aired in 2026, saw a 22% increase in viewership compared to the previous season, with a 28-day average of 12.5 million viewers. The majority of viewers tuned in via BBC iPlayer, accounting for 53% of the audience. The show has also been popular among younger audiences, with 16-34-year-olds making up 1 in 5 viewers.
