Kristen Doute is standing firm in her decision not to forgive Janet Caperna for her hurtful comments about her pregnancy. The tension between the two costars reached a boiling point during the season 2 premiere of “The Valley” on Tuesday, April 15, when they confronted each other at Brittany Cartwright’s white party.
“I feel very reluctant in hearing that you actually want to be friends with me,” Kristen, 42, expressed to Janet, 34. “After the summer, you went really hard. You did a podcast and said, ‘I don’t want your baby to come to full term. I didn’t support your pregnancy.’”
Janet quickly apologized for her remarks but attempted to explain the rationale behind her words. However, Kristen was not ready to let it go. She revealed that Zach Wickham had also made disturbing comments about her pregnancy, causing her significant anxiety.
“Brittany comes to me and says Zach was saying, ‘He doesn’t care if you miscarry.’ That messed me up. That gave me so much anxiety at the end of my pregnancy. I was not okay,” Kristen shared.
Although Kristen didn’t condone Zach’s behavior, she made it clear that it wouldn’t hinder her from maintaining a friendship. Janet apologized again, but Kristen felt that the apology wasn’t genuine as it included references to Zach’s actions.
During a past episode of the “Gabbing With Gib” podcast, Janet expressed her desire to be surrounded by kind people during her pregnancy. She felt that Kristen and Zach did not share the same sentiment, which led to the rift in their friendship.
While Zach hasn’t directly addressed Janet in season 2 yet, he acknowledged his past mistakes and expressed remorse to both Kristen and Nia Sanchez. He admitted to saying things he regretted and apologized for his behavior.
Kristen hoped to see Janet take more responsibility for her actions and be more honest and transparent moving forward. She urged Janet to own her feelings instead of avoiding them.
“The Valley” airs on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, with new episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock. The drama between Kristen, Janet, and Zach continues to unfold, leaving fans eager to see how their relationships evolve. In recent years, the world has seen a significant shift in the way we think about and approach mental health. With increased awareness and understanding of mental health issues, more people are seeking help and support for their mental well-being. As a result, there has been a growing demand for mental health services and resources, leading to a rise in the availability of online therapy options.
Online therapy, also known as teletherapy or telehealth, is a convenient and accessible alternative to traditional in-person therapy. It involves connecting with a licensed therapist through video calls, phone calls, or messaging platforms. This virtual form of therapy has become increasingly popular for a variety of reasons, including its convenience, affordability, and flexibility.
One of the main advantages of online therapy is its convenience. With online therapy, individuals can access mental health support from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating the need to travel to a therapist’s office. This can be especially beneficial for those who live in remote areas or have limited mobility. Online therapy also allows for greater flexibility in scheduling appointments, making it easier for people to fit therapy sessions into their busy lives.
Another benefit of online therapy is its affordability. Traditional therapy can be costly, with many insurance plans offering limited coverage for mental health services. Online therapy services are often more affordable, making therapy more accessible to those who may not be able to afford traditional therapy. Additionally, online therapy platforms may offer sliding scale fees or discounts for those in need, further reducing the financial burden of seeking mental health support.
In addition to convenience and affordability, online therapy offers a level of anonymity and privacy that may be appealing to some individuals. For those who feel uncomfortable or self-conscious about attending in-person therapy sessions, online therapy provides a more discreet option for seeking help. This can be particularly beneficial for those who are hesitant to discuss personal or sensitive issues face-to-face with a therapist.
Despite its many advantages, online therapy is not without its limitations. Some people may find it challenging to establish a strong therapeutic relationship with a therapist through a virtual platform. Additionally, there may be technical issues or limitations in communication that can impact the effectiveness of online therapy sessions. It is important for individuals considering online therapy to carefully research and choose a reputable and licensed therapist to ensure they receive quality care.
Overall, online therapy has emerged as a valuable and accessible option for those seeking mental health support. With its convenience, affordability, and privacy, online therapy is helping to break down barriers to mental health care and provide a new avenue for individuals to prioritize their well-being. As the demand for mental health services continues to grow, online therapy is likely to play an increasingly important role in meeting the needs of those seeking support for their mental health.
