A 21-year-old man suspected in a fatal shooting in Glendale was apprehended in Texas last month and is currently awaiting extradition to Colorado, as confirmed by authorities.
Blake Andrew Warren was taken into custody on August 15 in Spring, Texas, by U.S. Marshals on charges of first-degree murder related to the death of Gianni Fernandez on April 5, according to official records and the Glendale Police Department.
Authorities in Glendale have stated that Warren is still in the process of being extradited back to Colorado.
Warren was one of three individuals believed to be involved in the early morning shooting incident at The Phenix At Infinity Park apartment complex that resulted in Fernandez’s death and another man being injured.
Sarah Elizabeth Sandoval, 22, was arrested in Texas shortly after the shooting and is facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, assault, and robbery. Caleb Isaiah Choice, 22, surrendered to authorities not long after Sandoval’s arrest and is also facing similar charges.
