Three Boys Shot During Robbery Attempt on Christmas Night in Texas
On Christmas night in Texas, a shocking incident occurred where three boys as young as 12 were shot by a man they tried to rob at gunpoint, according to police reports.
The incident took place outside an apartment complex in Houston, where the gang of armed kids confronted a 25-year-old man and his girlfriend. Initially, the couple thought it was a prank due to the young age of the boys, but their intentions became clear when they attempted to rob the man.
In a surprising turn of events, the 25-year-old victim pulled out his own gun and fired at the boys, injuring three of them. One of the boys, aged just 12, was hospitalized in critical condition following the shooting.
Two other boys, aged 12 and 13, returned to the scene to seek help for their non-fatal injuries. Additionally, a 14-year-old boy who was unharmed was taken into custody by officials.
The man who shot the boys remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police. As of now, he is not facing any charges in connection with the incident.
Neighbor Bruce Bailey, who witnessed the shooting, recounted how he heard the injured boy crying out in pain, emphasizing that he was just a child. The community was shocked by the incident, especially considering it happened on Christmas night.
Authorities are now investigating whether the boys were using BB guns or real firearms during the robbery attempt. The tragic incident has raised questions about parental supervision and access to weapons among minors.
As the investigation continues, the community is left grappling with the repercussions of the violent encounter that unfolded on a night meant for celebration and joy.
