Influencer Emilie Kiser was not at home when her 3-year-old son tragically drowned.
Trigg, the son of the TikTok star, passed away days after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at their Arizona residence, as reported by the Chandler Police Department.
Emilie Kiser filed a lawsuit in Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County on May 27, seeking to keep all records of her son’s death private, including any distressing footage of the incident.
The 26-year-old also submitted a personal declaration detailing her grief and trauma, according to People.
A judge granted temporary confidentiality on June 3 for her request to keep records sealed until a decision is made on the broader privacy issue.
Official documents revealed that Trigg’s death was due to an accidental drowning at their home.
Kiser’s lawyer stated that the family wishes to grieve privately, but the public attention has made it challenging.
A source close to Kiser mentioned that she was not present during the incident and wants to prevent any distressing footage from circulating online.
“Emilie Kiser is urging the court to keep private the footage and records related to her young son’s death — a deeply personal, and reasonable, plea to prevent the public release of the most traumatic moment of her life,” the source said.
The source emphasized that while Kiser is a public figure, her son’s tragic death should not be exploited for public consumption.
After Trigg’s passing, the police initiated an investigation into the incident, where he was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at their home.
Chandler Police Department extended their condolences to the Kiser family and assured that they will not disclose further details out of respect for their privacy.
