After the tragic drowning of her 3-year-old nephew, TikTok influencer Emilie Kiser’s brother, Nick Espinosa, shared a heartfelt reflection on the devastating loss.
Over the weekend, Espinosa posted a moving video on Instagram, expressing his thoughts on the sudden change brought about by the death of Trigg Kiser, who was found unresponsive in the family’s Arizona swimming pool in May.
Although he later made the video private, it was reposted on TikTok by another account, People reported.
“You’re making progress, chasing purpose, moving forward,” he narrated while driving a car in the video. “Then, just like that, everything changes. A call you never saw coming. A goodbye you didn’t get to say.”
Since the tragic incident, the family, including Kiser, 26, has maintained a low profile, with Kiser even filing a lawsuit against various offices in Arizona to protect the privacy of the details surrounding the death.
Trigg was rushed to the hospital on May 12 and sadly passed away on May 18.
In his now-private post, Espinosa also urged his followers to cherish the people in their lives.
“Don’t wait for the world to remind you how fragile this life is,” he continued in the video as he stepped outside his car. “Put the phone down, go touch grass, spend time with the people you love.
“Focus on what truly matters because life doesn’t wait,” he added. “When you’re all out of time and there’s nothing left to chase, you realize it was never about the finish line, just the people and the moments that put a smile on your face.”
Prior to the tragedy, Kiser, who also has a newborn, shared a touching video celebrating motherhood on Mother’s Day, just days before the heartbreaking incident.
“Forever grateful that I get to be a momma,” she wrote on Instagram.
The investigation into the death is ongoing.Â
