Tina Fey, the acclaimed multi-talented Hollywood star, is all set to grace the Edinburgh TV Festival with her presence next month. She will be joining the festival in Scotland for a conversation with the beloved Irish TV host Graham Norton.
In addition to Fey, “Black Mirror” creator Charlie Brooker will also be participating in an intriguing in conversation event covering a wide range of topics such as comedy, AI, evil product design, and the TV shows that have influenced him.
Steven Lambert, the CEO of Studio Lambert, a renowned entertainment show producer behind hits like “The Traitors,” “Gogglebox,” and “Squid Game: The Challenge,” will also be in attendance to record a special edition of the podcast The Town.
This year’s Edinburgh TV Festival will feature industry conversations on various pressing issues including YouTube’s impact on TV, the scripted and unscripted funding crisis, an “Adolescence” masterclass, and a “Rival” live script read.
The alternative Mactaggart lecture will be delivered by satirist, comedian, writer, and actor Munya Chawawa, who will emphasize the importance of digital creatives in the broadcasting industry and advocate for creative risk-taking.
Former BBC News chief James Harding is slated to deliver the keynote MacTaggart lecture, where he will delve into the challenges faced by the media in terms of truth and trust. Moreover, Shonda Rhimes and Lenny Henry are also part of the festival lineup, with Rhimes being honored with the inaugural Edinburgh TV Festival fellowship.
The Edinburgh TV Festival is scheduled to take place from August 19 to 22, promising a captivating and insightful experience for all attendees.
