TKO responded to Roman Reigns’ message leading up to WWE Backlash 2026, where Reigns is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida, tonight.
Before the WWE Backlash 2026 event, The OTC used social media to communicate with Jacob Fatu. He acknowledged their family ties but insisted that after tonight, Fatu would comprehend Reigns’ position as The Tribal Chief and would have to recognize him as such.
Thanks for the submission!
“Jacob, We’ll Always Be Family, But After Tonight You’ll Understand Why They Chose Me. You’ll Understand Why I’m One of One. You’ll Understand Why I Am The Head of The Table. At Backlash You WILL Acknowledge Your Tribal Chief,” he wrote.
TKO acknowledged Reigns’ message by sharing an emoji to recognize the World Heavyweight Champion as The Tribal Chief. The message can be viewed in the post below.
Earlier this week on RAW, Fatu attacked Reigns by applying the Tongan Death Grip. Fatu has expressed his desire to enhance his family’s life and is committed to winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Reigns at Backlash tonight.
Jacob Fatu responds to skepticism about defeating Roman Reigns at WWE Backlash
Jacob Fatu recently addressed the doubts surrounding his chances of defeating Roman Reigns at WWE Backlash.
During an appearance on No-Contest Wrestling, Fatu acknowledged why some believe Reigns will retain the World Heavyweight Championship. However, he emphasized that Reigns has never faced an opponent like him before.
“I can understand why people think I’m not going to win. First PLE, first title defense out of WrestleMania, there’s no way, right? Well, check this out – there was no way Jacob was supposed to be here. There was no way Jacob was supposed to be the main event, PLE, Roman Reigns, right out of WrestleMania. But we’re here. And keep it 100. Like I said before, they ain’t never run into nobody like me.”
The upcoming match will reveal if Fatu can surprise everyone and dethrone Reigns at WWE Backlash.
