Tommy Lee Jones Joins Season 2 of “The Lowdown”
Tommy Lee Jones has officially signed on to star in the upcoming season 2 of “The Lowdown,” alongside Ethan Hawke. The Western-noir series, created by Sterlin Harjo of “Reservation Dogs,” will also feature newcomer Betty Gilpin. Production is set to begin this spring in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The show follows the story of Lee Raybon, a citizen journalist and self-proclaimed “truthstorian,” as he delves into a local conspiracy involving the powerful Washberg family. After his exposé leads to the suspicious death of Dale Washberg, Lee embarks on a journey to uncover the truth behind the events.
Season 1 of “The Lowdown” featured Keith David and guest stars like Kyle MacLachlan, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Peter Dinklage. The series is executive produced by Harjo, Hawke, and others, with all episodes currently available for streaming on Hulu.
Tommy Lee Jones, known for his Oscar-winning role in “The Fugitive,” as well as acclaimed performances in films like “No Country for Old Men” and “Lincoln,” brings his talent and experience to the cast. His impressive filmography also includes “Men in Black,” “Ad Astra,” and “The Burial” with Jamie Foxx.
