The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to take place in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. This highly anticipated tournament will mark the 10th edition of the prestigious event, with a total of 55 games scheduled to be played across eight venues – five in India and three in Sri Lanka.

The defending champions of the T20 World Cup are co-hosts India, who emerged victorious in the 2024 edition held in the United States and the West Indies by defeating South Africa in a thrilling final in Barbados. Team India had previously clinched the title in the inaugural edition held in South Africa in 2007. Apart from India, West Indies (2012 & 2016) and England (2010 & 2022) are the only other nations to have won the tournament twice.

Bowlers have played a crucial role in shaping the outcomes of matches in the Men’s T20 World Cup. In this article, we will delve into the top wicket-takers in the history of the ICC event.

Shakib’s success with the ball in both editions of the tournament is a testament to his skill and adaptability as a cricketer. His ability to read the game situation and deliver under pressure has made him a valuable asset for any team he represents.
