LSU pitcher Kade Anderson is embracing the comparisons he’s receiving to former Tigers stars Paul Skenes and Joe Burrow… as he believes the two are true “legends,” according to TMZ Sports.
At just 20 years old, Anderson has concluded his sophomore season in Baton Rouge with a national championship under his belt. With projections placing him as the potential top pick in the upcoming MLB draft, he is poised for a bright future.
Given his potential, Anderson has naturally drawn comparisons to Skenes and Burrow, former LSU standouts who were selected first overall in their respective drafts. Anderson expressed his honor at being mentioned alongside these exceptional athletes.
Reflecting on the comparisons, Anderson shared his excitement while working at a Raising Cane’s in Louisiana, stating, “To be considered in the same category is truly remarkable. Growing up, I admired their performances. It’s a thrilling experience.”
His coach, Jay Johnson, has also linked Anderson to the likes of Burrow and Skenes, hailing him as “the top player in the nation” earlier in the month.

The opportunity to showcase his talents at the professional level is fast approaching for Anderson, with the MLB draft scheduled for July 13. It won’t be long before his name is announced as one of the top selections.
