CBS’s hit drama “Tracker” has made a triumphant return, drawing in a whopping 12.97 million viewers for its Season 3 premiere on October 19th. This marked a 17% increase from the previous season’s premiere, solidifying the show’s popularity among audiences.

In fact, “Tracker” is just one of four CBS shows that have dominated the top 5 rankings for the fall season so far. According to Nielsen’s multiplatform 7-day viewing chart for the 2025-2026 broadcast season, CBS has been a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment realm.

CBS strategically held off on premiering the majority of its scripted series until mid-October, dubbing it “CBS Premiere Week.” This move seems to have paid off, with shows like “Matlock,” “60 Minutes,” and newcomer “Boston Blue” all performing exceptionally well in terms of viewership numbers.

“Boston Blue,” a spinoff of the popular series “Blue Bloods,” debuted to an impressive 8.64 million viewers on October 17th, marking a 6% increase from the previous season’s average. Additionally, other series premieres such as “Sheriff Country” and “DMV” have also garnered strong viewership numbers, showcasing CBS’s ability to deliver compelling content to its audience.

Returning favorites like “NCIS,” “Ghosts,” and “Elsbeth” have also continued to draw in substantial viewership numbers, further solidifying CBS’s position as a leader in the fall entertainment ratings race. With shows like “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” and “FBI” also pulling in impressive numbers, CBS now leads the pack in live+7 ratings for entertainment programming.

In total multiplatform numbers, CBS is averaging 6.8 million viewers, followed closely by ABC, NBC, and Fox. The network’s success this fall season is a testament to its ability to engage audiences and deliver high-quality content that resonates with viewers of all ages. CBS’s lineup of compelling dramas, comedies, and newsmagazines continues to captivate audiences and solidify its position as a powerhouse in the world of television entertainment.
