Travis Barker is showing his appreciation for first responders by connecting with incarcerated firefighters at their facility.
The Blink-182 drummer had a heartfelt reunion this week with the crew from Pine Grove fire camp, situated near Sacramento. Our sources reveal that Barker initially met the group earlier this year while they were at the Rose Bowl battling Southern California’s major wildfires.
On Friday morning, just after performing at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento the night before, Travis woke up at 4:30 AM amid heavy rain to meet the Pine Grove firefighters at their jail for a training session. The focus was on inspiring motivation, instilling discipline, and fostering mutual respect.
Travis’ efforts align with his Run Travis Run initiative—a running community he founded to motivate individuals to stay active and appreciate the outdoors, regardless of their location. The events consistently attract around 3,000 participants.
The musician shows no signs of slowing down; he is scheduled to headline a Blink-182 concert in the desert Saturday evening, followed by another Run Travis Run event in Palm Desert on Sunday morning.
From the frontline to crossing finish lines, Travis is demonstrating how passion, determination, and a pair of running shoes can unite individuals from varying backgrounds.
