Federal authorities are currently probing a cyber attack that has disrupted water systems in seven states.
In Minnesota alone, 30 water systems were affected, forcing municipalities to transition to manual operations to maintain functionality.
There is suspicion directed towards Iran due to their known cyber capabilities, particularly in light of Donald Trump’s recent threats to dismantle the nation’s water infrastructure.

The theory that Iran might be responsible for such an attack is plausible to many.
However, this perspective is not shared by Donald Trump.
When questioned, “Can you rule out Iran’s involvement in the water attacks? Do you know who’s responsible for the cyber attack?”
The president responded:
“Minnesota, because they are grossly incompetent. I believe the governor is responsible. You can pursue this— I don’t believe it was an Iranian cyber attack. I think Minnesota needs to get its act together. It’s one of the worst-run states. JD will tell you, he discovered significant corruption in Minnesota. And, by the way, he just gave me a report on massive, ongoing corruption in Minnesota.”

Despite the ongoing investigation by Trump’s own administration into Iran’s possible involvement, Trump has pointed the finger at Minnesota, one of the states he is tasked with protecting.
