“He [the orthopaedic surgeon] was like, ‘You know, it’s really hard to break your scapula. No one does surgery on scapulas. If you really want it, there is one doctor that can do it, but honestly, it’s like breaking your ribs in a way. You just wait until they slowly heal.’ And so that’s what I have to do. I know I have to get X-rays every two weeks to make sure I am healing. I don’t start PT for another two weeks, so they really want me to be bedridden. From there, I’m out for three to six months. So it all depends how my scapula heals,” Brie said.
