President Trump made a brief appearance at the annual Army-Navy game following comments on the recent attack in Syria that claimed the lives of three Americans, including two US troops.
Trump participated in the coin toss on the field and received cheers from the cadets and midshipmen in attendance when his name was announced over the PA system.
After tossing the ceremonial coin, Trump shook hands with some team captains before the game began.
Earlier, the president watched from the 20 yard line as parachutists landed at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium for the 126th Army-Navy game.
Trump addressed the media before leaving the White House to head to Fort McHenry in Baltimore aboard Marine One.
“We will retaliate,” Trump affirmed when asked about the Syria ambush.
Accompanying the president are top military officials, including Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, Navy Secretary John Phelan, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Dan Caine.
