Donald Trump criticized Oprah Winfrey late Saturday night, suggesting that she appeared embarrassed while speaking with Vice President Kamala Harris during a recent live-streamed campaign event.
On his Truth Social platform, the GOP nominee wrote, “When I watched her interview yesterday with a woman who is destroying America through her complete and total incompetence, I couldn’t help but think this isn’t the real Oprah.”
He continued, stating, “This isn’t a person that wants millions of people, including those from prisons, mental institutions, terrorists, drug dealers, and human traffickers from all over the world, pouring into our country.”
Trump also falsely claimed in the post that he appeared with his family on the final week of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Trump’s comments followed Harris’ conversation with Winfrey on Thursday, covering topics such as immigration, abortion, the economy, and gun violence.
The event, which featured appearances by celebrities like Meryl Streep, Bryan Cranston, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Jennifer Lopez, garnered over 300,000 viewers during the YouTube livestream.

During an earlier rally in North Carolina, Trump claimed that Winfrey “didn’t know what the hell to do” in response to Harris during the event.
Winfrey, who endorsed Harris and spoke at the Democratic National Convention, called on “all decent people” and “caring people” to respond to the moment with Harris.
“This is the moment for people who are tired of bickering, name-calling, and the craziness. You want to get on with your life because you know we can do better and deserve better,” she said.
