President Trump proudly shared on Sunday that his approval ratings among GOP members have seen a significant increase, despite the ongoing controversy surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, a notorious sex offender.
Trump took to Truth Social to boast, stating, “My Poll Numbers within the Republican Party, and MAGA, have gone up, significantly, since the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax was exposed by the Radical Left Democrats and, just plain ātroublemakers.ā They have hit 90%, 92%, 93%, and 95%, in various polls, and are all Republican Party records. The General Election numbers are my highest, EVER! People like Strong Borders, and all of the many other things I have done. GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAGA!”
It remains unclear which specific polls Trump was referring to in his statement.
Recent surveys conducted last week indicated a strong approval rating for Trump among Republicans. For instance, a CNN poll showed an 88% approval rating, while a Quinnipiac poll reported a 90% approval rating.
Trump’s mention of his improved polling numbers comes amidst controversy within a section of his MAGA base regarding Epstein and calls for the administration to disclose more information about the deceased sex offender.
